Archival history
Chez Nous was published quarterly. Its first issue was printed in Spring 1983 and the last a combined Autumn/Winter edition in 1987. The magazine-styled newsletter was slightly bigger than A4, which enabled longer articles in a two column format to be included. The title Chez Nous is a word play with 'Chester Zoo' , 'Our Zoo' and the French phrase for 'Our Home'. It is sub-titled Chester Zoo News on the front cover. All editions feature a list of the animals that have arrived, been born or hatched in the previous quarter. A regular feature for junior members is introduced. Penny Rudd was the editor, Ken Green was responsible for most of the photos and it was printed by Glyn Evans & Sons of Sealand Road, Chester.
