      Stone swallowed by Karha the Asian Elephant in March 1997. Karha was a famous resident of the zoo in the 1990s and was hand reared by her zookeeers. Card accompanying stone reads "Karha swallowed this 100g, 5cm long stone in March 1997. It was surgically removed by the Leahurst Veterinary Team in a complex operation that lasted over 7 hours."
