Series 6 - Zoo Life (1988-2005)

Zoo Life is a glossy publication with the strap-line 'Chester Zoo's Magazine for Members and Adopters'. Earlier editions adopt a 3 column format and the magazine was extended to 28 A4 pages, and later 32 pages, including the covers. The 'Arrivals, Births and Hatchings' continues as a feature until Winter 2001. The magazine began using issue numbers in Spring 2000; these continued until Winter 2005 (issue 24). It was succeeded by the next iteration of the publication: 'Magazine for Members and Adopters': Z Magazine.

There were only 3 issues in 1987 as the Autumn 1987 issue was delayed and the decision was made to combine the autumn and winter issues. In 1993, only 3 magazines were produced as a cost cutting measure with no edition in Autumn 1993.
