The collection includes photos of a variety of mammal and bird species with some photos bearing 1980s dates. Keepers Joe Morris and John Willis are named on a photo of Arabian Oryx.

This was the original prospectus published circa 1932/33. It details the purpose and rules of the Society, it lists the animal exhibits of the time and contains an article about parrots by the Marquess of Tavistock and an article about budgerigars by Dennis Weston.

Minutes of Chester Zoological Gardens, dated from 26th November 1933 to 14th march 1934. This was dealing with the initial proposal of forming the The North of England Zoological Society. This proposal was abandoned in the final meeting of 14th March 1934.
